Billy Fleiger has devoted more than thirty years to the development of minor baseball on the Miramichi, primarily in Douglastown. He literally built the Douglastown ball park, much of it with his own hands. Then he devoted countless hours to coaching and administration in the minor baseball program, not only of his community, but throughout Miramichi and the Province of New Brunswick.
