The 1986-1987 Miramichi Gagnon Packers, under the leadership of owner Edmund Gagnon, manager Dale Hicks and Coach Bev Bawn, defeated teams from the New Brunswick Senior League, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Smith Falls Ontario and Stoney Plains, Alberta on their way to the National Senior Championship.
